EMOTIONALLY RESILIENT LEADERSHIP
- Pastoral cohort -
The Need
Being a pastor has always been a challenging calling, but for many reasons, it’s harder and lonelier than ever to be a leader in the church today. 53% of pastors today are considering walking away. Every pastor who leaves his job, burned out and distraught, impacts people and deals a blow to the expansion of the gospel and the growth of God’s church.
The Format
The Emotionally Resilient Leadership cohort is a small, guided experience that equips pastors with the emotional and spiritual health needed to build stronger, more resilient churches. Each cohort brings together 6–8 pastors for eight online sessions over four months, creating a structured space for reflection, growth, and peer connection.
The Goal
The “Emotionally Resilient Leadership’ group aims to build emotional and spiritual health and resilience among pastoral leaders in New England, thereby increasing ministry effectiveness, satisfaction, and longevity.
It accomplishes this goal through a comprehensive curriculum that fosters honesty and vulnerability in a supportive community, helping pastors, who face the daily expectation of being ‘superhuman’, develop the requisite skills to deal with their weaknesses and struggles with the Lord’s help.
